To further implement the Work Safety Law and the work safety policy of “safety first, prevention-oriented, and comprehensive management,” and to review the company’s safety performance while outlining the next steps in work safety efforts, the relevant officials responsible for work safety at the Tibet Company conducted a tabletop exercise in the conference room at 4:30 p.m. on November 14, 2023. Additionally, at 3:00 p.m. on the 16th, the company organized a comprehensive on-site emergency response drill for work safety incidents, with General Manager Yang Mingquan serving as the overall commander and Deputy General Manager Ding Rui as the deputy commander.
During the comprehensive emergency drill on the 16th, all employees participated in the following activities: a fire‑response and evacuation exercise; on‑site training on the use of emergency and firefighting equipment; a fire‑extinguishing drill focusing on the operation of firefighting equipment; and a specialized emergency rescue‑response exercise for a methanol leak and subsequent fire at the methanol storage tank area, a major hazard source.
During the drill, through a combination of instruction and hands-on practice, all employees gained an understanding of the company’s emergency response procedures for sudden incidents, learned how to use emergency equipment, and acquired knowledge on responding to fires involving major hazard sources and on evacuation. They also recognized the critical importance of mastering emergency response and evacuation skills in the event of an unexpected accident.
